Coconut Barfi

Coconut Barfi is sweet, flavourful and chewy sweet very easy to make, made up of just coconut, cardamoms, pistachios, almonds and sugar. You can make it on any special occasion like Janmashtmi, Shiv ratri, diwali etc. Basically this is a fasting item that you can eat during fast.

Ingredients
  • 250gms fresh coconut powder
  • 125 gms of Sugar
  • 1tsp cardamom seeds(ground)
  • 1/2 tsp almonds(grated)
  • 1/2 tsp pistachios (grated)
  • 1tbsp Ghee

Method
  1. Mix fresh coconut powder and sugar well and keep it aside for 30-45 minutes.
  2. Now take kadai and put flame on medium low. Place the above mixture into kadai and stir it continuously. Add cardamom seeds and grated almonds to it.
  3. Stir the mixture till all the sugar water evaporates and it gets little harden so that it can get settled evenly.
  4. Grease a plate with the ghee and spread grated pistachios on it.
  5. Now place the prepared mixture into the plate and spread it evenly.
  6. Allow it to cool for at least 3-4 hours. 
  7. Now with a knife cut it down in desired shape.
  8. Place the down side up so that pistachios can appear on top.
  9. Your nariyal barfi or say coconut barfi is ready to serve.

Cold Coffee


Ingredients
  • 2 Glass of Milk
  • 2tsp Coffee Powder
  • 3-4tsp Sugar
  • 2cups of Ice
Method
  1. Blend Milk, Coffee and Sugar together for 30 seconds until the coffee and sugar are mixed well with the milk.
  2. Now add Ice and blend it again for a minute until the coffee fecomes frothy.
  3. Serve Coffee in tall glasses and sprinkle some coffee powder or chocolate powder over it just before serving.
  4. For better taste add a scoop of vanilla Ice-Cream to each glass and this will turn it into a yummy dessert.

Suji Ka Halwa














Suji, also known as 'Rawa' or 'Semolina'. We do call this recipe as 'Rawa ka Halwa' or 'Semolina Pudding'. It is a very delicious recipe and i'm sure that you all will like it. It is very healthy and light to eat.    

Ingredients
Suji                              1cup 
Ghee/Butter                3tbsp 
Sugar                          3/4thcup
Water                          1.5cup 
Cardamonn(Elaichi)  1tsp 
Raisins                        2tbsp 
Cashew Nuts              2tbsp 
Milk                              1.5cup

Tip: If you don't have extra milk then you can simply use water in place of it equal to the quantity of milk. 

Method/ How To Make Suji Ka Halwa or Semolina Pudding 

Step 1: Heat Ghee or Butter in a wok. 

Step 2: Now add semolina to it and heat for few minutes with constant stirring. Flame should be set to low-medium heat. Heat semolina till it start becoming light brown in colour. 

Step 3: Now add water and milk to it to get desired consistency. 

Step 4: Now add Sugar to it and stir it continuously. 

Step 5: At last add cashew nuts and raisins to it. Mix it well. Put off the flame. 

Step 6: Now take this out in a bowl and add cardamonns to it. Serve it hot or cold.

You can even use almonds and pistachio's to garnish it from top just before serving.
