Manchow soup is one of the most popular chinese soup and one of my favourite. Whenever i use to go to a restaurant for dinner manchow soup is the first thing for which i place an order. This is healthy too as it is made up of all veggies. This is very tasty and spicy.
Ingredients
- 1 tbsp oil
- 1 cup shredded cabbage
- 1/2 cup finely chopped carrot
- 1/2 cup finely chopped Capsicum
- 1 cup spring onion
- 1/4 cup chopped corriander leaves
- 2tbsp chopped garlic
- 1 tbsp chopped ginger
- 1 tsp finely chopped green chillies
- 1 tbsp soya sauce
- 1-2 tbsp red chilli sauce
- 1/2 tsp Ajino Motto (m.s.g.)
- 1 tbsp white vinegar/ lemon juice
- 1/2 tsp black pepper powder
- 2 tbsp cornflour
- 2cups boiled and fried hakka noodles
- 1/2 tsp sugar
- Water
- salt to taste
Method
- Heat oil in a pan. Add ginger, garlic and green chillies and saute it for few seconds.
- Now add spring onion to it and again saute it for 2 minutes. Then add all the chopped vegetables to it and again saute them for 2 minutes
- Then add soya sauce, red chilli sauce, vinegar/lemon juice, black pepper powder and sugar to it. Boil it for 4-5 minutes. You can adjust the sauces according to your taste.
- Mix the cornflour in 1/2 cup of water and mix it well so that it do not form any lump. Now put this mixture into the soup and cook it until it gets thick.
- While the soup is being cooked by side boil the noodles. Once they are boiled cool them. Once they are cooled place oil in a wok and deep fry the cooled noodles.
- Place fried noodles on a paper to soak extra oil from noodles.
- Now garnish soup with corriander leaves and spring onion greens. Serve hot soup with fried noodles.
