  • 1 large onion finely chopped
  • 1 large tomato finely chopped
  • 1/2 to 1 cup cabbage finely chopped
  • 3 cup Semolina(Rava)
  • 1 tbsp Yogurt (Dahi)
  • 1/2 tsp Red chilli powder
  • Salt according to taste
  • 4cup Water
  • Oil
Method
  1. Mix semolina, yogurt, capsicum, onion, cabbage, tomato, salt, red chilli powder all together. Now add water to it and prepare a thick mixture of it. Keep the mixture aside for atleast 3-4 hours to get settled.
  2. Now check the mixture, if its too thick then, add some more water and bring the consistency.
  3. Heat the non stick pan aside. When the pan is ready pour 1 tbsp of mixture on the pan and spread it out in circle with the help of same table spoon. Uttapam are basically thick then cheela's so don't get worried.
  4. After pouring mixture take oil and spread it around the uttapam like you do while making cheela's. Now cover it with a lid or a plate for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Now turn it and again spread some oil all around it and cook it for another 2 minutes.
  6. Cook the uttapam from both side till it gets golden reddish dots.
  7. Serve uttapam hot with coconut chutney and Sambhar.
